tr_🇺🇦 Brain melting. As far as Keiji’s projects are concerned, this is up there with Fushitsuasha - The wisdom prepared. Slow and hazy. Deep bass. The only issue I have is the singing in the last song. I could also see some people getting turned off by the gnarly sax-like thing in the first song. Does not succumb to super group syndrome. A harmonious and psychedelic effort. Almost 70 minutes. Favorite track: Now I’ve gone and done it I spilled holy water (just water) over that thing called healing music……………………………. / There was a faint “Tsk”noise.

RE / VEIDRIK / Odious Wretch Fantastic collaboration this time around. I had a hard time getting into the first one but I am digging the whole album right off the bat here. Favorite track: Even for just the briefest moment / Keep charging this “expiation” / Plug in to making it slightly better.

about

SUMAC

SUMAC is the powerhouse trio of Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom,Mamiffer), Nick Yacyshyn (Baptists), and Brian Cook (Russian Circles, These Arms Are Snakes). SUMAC invests in the recursive exercises of chaos and control, and the results are a testament to the tour-honed collective intuition and technical skills of these veteran players. ... more
